AssemblerThe Assembler will work with precision fiber cables and small components to build high-quality assemblies used in advanced applications. This role involves carefully measuring, cutting, and placing fiber cables, feeding color-coded wires through connectors according to detailed blueprints and work instructions, applying epoxy coatings, and operating curing and polishing equipment. The Assembler uses small hand tools and may work under microscopes or projection scopes to ensure each assembly meets strict performance and quality standards.Responsibilities:Measure, cut, and place fiber cable into clips in accordance with detailed work instructions and blueprints.Feed color-coded wires through connectors in the exact specified order, ensuring perfect accuracy and correct placement.Apply small drops of epoxy and pull wires through to create a uniform coating that covers the entire wire surface.Place completed assemblies into curing devices to properly dry and set epoxy coatings.Run assemblies through final polishing stages to achieve required finish and performance characteristics.Test completed assemblies to verify that all connections function correctly and meet quality standards.Use small hand tools, microscopes, or projection scopes to handle and assemble very small parts with high precision.Work in a clean room environment and follow all relevant procedures to maintain cleanliness and product integrity.Follow production schedules and meet output expectations while maintaining high levels of accuracy and quality.Read and interpret blueprints, blown-up work instructions, and other technical documentation to complete assemblies correctly.Provide feedback on processes and participate in continuous improvement efforts to make workflows smoother, quicker, and more efficient.Adapt to a growing and evolving operation, demonstrating patience and flexibility as new processes and procedures are implemented.Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and support staff to resolve issues and improve results.Essential Skills:6 months to 1+ year of manufacturing experience, preferably involving assembly of small parts or medical device assembly.Ability to work with very small components using small hand tools and precision techniques.Strong written and verbal communication skills to follow instructions and document work as needed.Ability to distinguish and see colors accurately to ensure each wire is placed in the correct order.Experience working under a microscope or strong comfort and ability to perform tasks using a microscope.Capability to read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and technical documentation.Attention to detail and high level of manual dexterity for handling delicate assemblies.Commitment to quality and adherence to clean room practices and production standards.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience with guidewire, catheter assembly, or wire assembly in a production or medical assembly environment.Experience in electronics or medical assembly environments is beneficial.Familiarity with clean room operations, even without strict clean room dress requirements.Comfort using microscopes or projection scopes for assembly work.Ability to contribute ideas for process improvements in a rapidly growing and evolving division.Willingness to work overtime on Fridays when needed to support production demands.Why Work Here?You will join a newly established, fast-growing division in a modern, upgraded facility where early team members have significant opportunities for rapid advancement into leadership, supervisory, quality, and other key roles. It is part of a new division that is just starting up, with a small team that will expand rapidly and is expected to grow to nearly 100 people within 6–9 months. Early hires should be comfortable working in an environment that may feel unorganized at first, and be willing to help shape and refine processes to make them smoother, faster, and more effective. Work takes place in a clean room environment that does not require traditional clean room dress, and there are no restrictions on clothing, jewelry, or perfumes as long as employees can safely and effectively handle small parts. Business casual dress or appearance is appropriate. Assemblers wear a smock over their clothing as the primary attire requirement. Gloves and safety glasses are available and may be worn by choice, but are not currently required for the assemblies being produced. The position is on first shift, Monday through Thursday, from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with Fridays used for overtime if needed. The environment supports hands-on work with small tools and microscopes, and encourages patience, collaboration, and continuous improvement as the division grows.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hudson, WI.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.76/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
